Have you noticed something different about our new Kid Power Up videos?
Maybe a little less dancing and a tad more thinking?
That’s because we’ve listened to your suggestions and expanded our collection of Kid Power Ups! Now our Kid Power library includes videos that get kids moving AND learning together.
Kid Power Ups are all about getting kids moving and learning important lessons — like the Global Goals and how kids can help achieve them!
Our original Kid Power Ups promoted movement through dance, yoga and martial arts. These new Kid Power Ups are designed to get students thinking critically and learning together. In short, they get those brain hamsters cranking!
Different Formats….
Educators agree that Kid Power Ups are a great “brain break” activity. Whether you have 5 minutes and want to give squirmy students a chance to get out of their chairs and move around, or if you have 15 minutes and want students to work together, there’s a Kid Power Up to fit your needs!
• Dance Kid Power Ups — Energetic and upbeat, these faster-paced, choregraphed videos get students moving and grooving to their favorite cover songs. Some even throw in a few martial arts and kickboxing moves!
• Yoga Kid Power Ups — When your students need to CTFO/CTFD, play these Quiet and Calm videos, which help teach meditation and simple yoga stretches in the classroom.
• Koo Koo Kanga Roo Kid Power Ups — Our good partners, Koo Koo Kanga Roo (aka “The Beastie Boys Meet Sesame Street”), have five Kid Power Ups that will get kids moving, laughing, and even learning. Hello, Positivity!
• Connect Kid Power Ups — When you want to get students thinking critically and making connections to bigger global issues, play these videos.
Still the Same Impact!
While we’re adding new kinds of Kid Power Up videos to our collection, the impact is still the same!
Every 10 Kid Power Ups completed unlocks one packet of Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food that UNICEF delivers to malnourished children around the world.
In 2018, the UNICEF Kid Power team saved the lives of more than 20,000 kids suffering from severe acute malnutrition! By getting active with UNICEF Kid Power, students really do have the power to make a difference in this world!
