Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER
1. Description of Challenge
Schools located in the Miami DMA of the U.S. with educators who participate in UNICEF Kid Power from December 4, 2019 through January 10, 2020 are eligible to receive special NFL grants. The selected schools are based on school-wide participation in the UNICEF Kid Power program during the time of the Challenge. Grants will be delivered by the National Football League (“NFL” or “Grant Provider”).
2. Sponsor
The Challenge is administered by U.S. Fund for UNICEF, doing business as UNICEF USA, with offices located at 125 Maiden Lane, New York, NY 10038 (“UNICEF USA”) (sometimes referred to as “Administrator”).
3. Eligibility
- The Challenge is open to schools and education programs who:
- Work with students in grades 2 through 8;
- Are located within the Miami DMA, which is defined as Broward County and Miami-Dade County; and
- Have educators registered for the UNICEF Kid Power program that were at least 18 years old at the time of entry
An “educator” is defined as an individual who works at a school or education program (including after and non-school educational programs) serving students in grades 2 through 8.

- THE CHALLENGE IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED, AND IS SUBJECT TO ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS.
- Employees, directors, officers, or agents of UNICEF USA or NFL or their respective affiliated entities, and immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, stepchildren, stepparents, and siblings) of the foregoing individuals, and individuals living in the same household of the foregoing individuals are not eligible to enter or receive the grants.
4. How to Enter
All eligible schools will automatically be entered into the challenge as soon as a minimum of three (3) individual educator accounts have been registered to the same school AND the accounts have collectively completed at least ten (10) Kid Power Up videos during the Challenge Period.
All UNICEF Kid Power Up videos watched between December 4, 2019 at 12:00am Eastern Daylight Time (“EDT”) and January 10, 2020 at 11:59pm EDT (the “Challenge Period”) will be considered upon determining grant recipients of the Challenge. Videos watched before the Challenge was posted will not be considered.
A DONATION, PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE THE CHANCES OF RECEIVING A GRANT. ODDS OF RECEIVING A GRANT DEPEND UPON THE TOTAL NUMBER OF ELIGIBLE SCHOOLS ENTERED.
5. Grants
Receipt of a grant is subject to verification of eligibility, including verification of location, and compliance with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules.
Three (3) schools will receive:
- $1,000 grant to be used by the school to improve the school and/or community
- Recognition by the NFL, UNICEF Kid Power and UNICEF USA on social media
- Invitation for up to 50 students to participate in an NFL PLAY 60 Kids Day community event taking place the week of Super Bowl LIV in Miami, FL
One (1) school will receive:
- Grand Honor: all the above as well as an opportunity to host a UNICEF Kid Power Community Day with potential for attendance by NFL staff, players, cheerleaders, mascots and social and media coverage (limited to one recipient; NFL and UNICEF USA have the right to select grant recipient)
Grant recipients will be notified by email on or about January 13, 2020. The recipient of the Grand Honor will be required to execute and return a Liability Release, and where lawful, a Publicity Release. NFL will deliver the grant based. Subject to recipient verification, the decisions of the Administrator are final.
6. Grant Recipient Selection
Three (3) schools will be selected based on the following standards:
- There is a minimum of three (3) educators registered in the UNICEF Kid Power program that are from the same school.
- The registered UNICEF Kid Power educators have completed at least ten (10) Kid Power Up videos collectively during the Challenge Period
The three schools will be selected on January 13, 2020 from the eligible entries submitted during the Challenge Period. One (1) Grand Honor grant recipients will be selected by the NFL and UNICEF USA based on the proximity to to-be-determined NFL events; the other two (2) grant recipients will be selected at random from the eligible entries submitted during the Challenge Period.
All eligible educators from the school receiving a grant that is registered for UNICEF Kid Power will be notified by email on or about January 13, 2020. Once contacted, one (1) representative from the school (either an educator or school administrative member) must provide their address and availability of redemption of the grant to the Administrator within seven (7) business days. The Administrator will deliver the grants within 30 business days, by February 12, 2020.
If a potential grant recipient cannot be contacted within five (5) days after the date of the first attempt to contact him or her, the grant may be awarded to an alternate recipient as selected by the Administrator. Subject to grant recipient verification, the decisions of the Administrator are final. Odds of being a grant recipient are based on the number of eligible entries received during the Challenge Period.
In the event of having not received an affirmative acceptance of a grant in a stream by January 17, 2020, the Administrator reserves the right to award that stream’s grant to the other’s pool of entrants. Additionally, if there is an unaccepted grant by January 22, 2020 the Administrator reserves the right to choose a grant recipient at random from all accepted entries.
7. Additional Terms and Conditions
a. GRANT RECIPIENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING ALL APPLICABLE TAXES, INCLUDING INCOME TAXES.
b. Entrants agree that personal data, including name, may be used by the Administrator to verify the participant’s identity, postal address, and telephone number or to otherwise verify the participant’s eligibility to participate in the Challenge. Participants have the right to access, review, rectify, or cancel any personal data held by Administrator by writing to UNICEF USA, Attention: NFL & UNICEF Kid Power: Route to Super Bowl LIV Challenge, 125 Maiden Lane, New York, NY 10038.
c. Entry constitutes agreement with all of the foregoing rules and terms, and also constitutes permission to use each grant recipient’s name, likeness, statements, quotes, testimonials, photographs, school name, grade level, and name of hometown for promotional purposes, including but not limited to posting of such information, on UNICEF USA’s websites, except where prohibited by law, without compensation to the grant recipients. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in the entrant’s disqualification.
8. Right to Cancel or Suspend Contest
a. Administrator reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Challenge, or any part of it, if an event beyond Administrator’s reasonable control (including, but not limited to, natural disaster, infection by computer virus, bugs, worms, trojan horses, denial of service attacks, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any technical failures) impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Challenge, as determined by Administrator in its sole discretion.
b. Administrator, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Challenge or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Challenge may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Administrator reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Administrator’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. An individual may not enter on behalf of another individual or transfer his or her entry to another person. An individual may be required to show proof of ownership of his or her account used to enter the Challenge.
9. Winner’s List
For the name of the grant recipients, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope before June 30, 2020 to: UNICEF USA, Attention: NFL & UNICEF Kid Power: Route to Super Bowl LIV Challenge, 125 Maiden Lane, New York, NY 10038.
10. Liability & Release
By participating in the Challenge, each entrant agrees to release and hold harmless Administrator and its affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees and its advertising, promotional and judging agencies (the “Challenge Entities”) from and against any and all liability, injuries, loss, claim, damages, or cause of action (collectively, “Claims”) arising out of participation in the Challenge or receipt or use, misuse or possession of any grant, including, but not limited to: (a) human error or unauthorized human intervention in the Challenge; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) errors in the administration of the Challenge or the processing of entries; (e) injury or damage to persons, including death, or property (including computers) which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Challenge or receipt, acceptance, use or misuse of any grant; or (f) injury or damage based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy. Each entrant further agrees that: (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the Challenge, or any grants awarded, shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action; (b) any claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Challenge, but in no event attorney’s fees; (c) under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages, other than damages for actual out-of-pocket expenses; and (d) these Official Rules and all disputes shall be governed by the internal laws of the state of New York, without regard to principles of conflicts of laws, any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts in the state of New York, and each entrant expressly consents to the jurisdiction of said courts and waives any objection thereto. Entrants hereby acknowledge that Challenge Entities have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any grant. Grant recipient assumes all liability for any Claims caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this Challenge or use or redemption of any grant by grant recipient, and holds the Challenge Entities harmless from any and all such Claims.
